Your DTH and Cable TV can be billed low by Trai Report

In the beginning of this year, TRAI had set new rules for the DTH and cable TV industry.

To bring these new rules transparent, make the whole system transparent and make TV bills economical.

However, this change proved to be a burden for users. Not only did the users suffer difficulties in adopting the new rules, but in the case of prices, users did not get any relief. This gave TRAI a lot of negative feedback from the users.

Perhaps the result of this is that TRAI wants to make some changes in it very soon.

Et’s Latest Report

If ET‘s latest reports are believed, then TRAI can work to reduce TV bills with broadcaster and operators in the coming days. The Authority is going to work on a consultation paper, it will be seen how the bill can be reduced for both cable and DTH subscribers.

According to TRAI – work is being done to reduce the broadcast tariff on a consultation paper. It will be seen in which ways prices can be reduced.

TRAI’s Report

New DTH and TV rules have come into effect from February 1, 2019. According to the new rules, consumers will now have to pay for the same channels they want to see.

Subscribers now have to pay a minimum of Rs 150, in which 18 percent tax is included in the network capacity fee of 130 rupees.

In addition, subscribers have to pay Rs 25 for a slot of 25 channels. It will also apply 18 percent GST.

TRAI is now in collaboration with broadcasters and operators in an effort to get a way out of which the monthly bills can be cut.
