kacific1: Tata Communications, Kacific sign global IP connectivity, cyber security deal

New Delhi: Digital infrastructure supplier Tata Communications on Thursday mentioned it has entered into an settlement with Kacific Broadband Satellites Group (Kacific) for offering world web and cyber safety companies.

“Kacific has chosen Tata Communications…to supply terrestrial connectivity companies because it readies for the launch of its first satellite tv for pc, Kacific1,” Tata Communications mentioned in a regulatory submitting.

Kacific selected to enter into this association with Tata Communications due to the dimensions of the corporate’s world community and its safety experience, Kacific CEO Christian Patouraux mentioned in a press release.

“Our high-speed broadband will reach people living across both the most remote rural locations and the most densely populated urban centres in the Asia Pacific region,” Patouraux mentioned.

Tata Communications will present world web and cyber safety companies for Kacific’s Ka-band satellite tv for pc community.

Kacific1 is a High Throughput Satellite (HTS) that can use 56 high-power Ka-band beams to ship reasonably priced, high-speed broadband to telecommunications corporations, web service suppliers and governments in South East Asia and the Pacific.

Tata Communications Vice President and General Manager of Global Media and Entertainment Services Brian Morris mentioned : “We are pleased to work with Kacific to provide them a unified service across security and network management”.

The shares of Tata Communications had been buying and selling at Rs 448.40, up 7.22 per cent on BSE within the morning commerce.
