Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter and Square, tweeted on Tuesday that each firms will honor Juneteenth as an organization vacation, the newest effort amongst tech leaders to assist and honor the tradition of blacks.
Juneteenth, which is well known on June 19, is the day many African-Americans have a good time their emancipation from slavery within the U.S. On that date in 1865, Union General Gordon Granger learn the the Emancipation Proclamation to African-Americans.
