The lawsuit was filed on Thursday in San Francisco by Reveal Chat HoldCo, a successor to the relationship website LikeBright; USA Technology and Management Services, higher generally known as the credit score and monetary service supplier Lenddol; former peer-to-peer website; and former identification verification supplier Beehive Biometric. The firms describe Facebook as “one of the largest unlawful monopolies ever seen in the United States” and say the goal of the lawsuit is “to halt the most brazen, willful anticompetitive scheme in a generation”.
The firms suing say getting Zuckerberg to divest is important to get Facebook to stop its anticompetitive behaviour. “There is no adequate remedy of law to prevent the irreparable harm that has — and will continue — to result from Zuckerberg’s continued control of Facebook,” the businesses mentioned.
